Sorry people we have been quite inactive recently, as Facebook told me yesterday. Facebook is so clever, how on earth does it know? Although it’s not infallible, as I know for a fact that I definitely have three more friends than it says I do. Hah!

So... let's get you all bang up to date on our new releases! First we have the promised pretty radical remix of a song from our first album Hold The Mind. Entitled Don't Even Blink there is a shiny new video to go with it as well as the usual highly polished audio. Comments please! Both are available from our Bandcamp page, as well as a specially curated hour's radio show from David and Mark. Then we were asked to contribute a track for charity compilation Off The Leash, and we went back to a trapped-in-the-rat-race song called Turning The Wheel that Richard wrote for a play entitled Taking Liberties by Craig Baxter in the mid-90s. All the songs were sung by tree protesters during scene changes. Interesting to see from Turning The Wheel that we were thinking about these rat race things before we were married and had kids. We could see it coming even then! But luckily most of our rat friends are lovely and our rat bosses can be quite reasonable rodents most of the time. All the above are here:

Next came Mark’s dub reworking of Tony’s Am I Just A Name Now? Listen to the studio version for the above Facebook reference on the Stray album. Mark’s version doesn’t really have lyrics though, so please rap along using your own, which is the tradition Mark has been telling me about. Lots of space for your own words:

And now some news on the progressing 4th album, as yet untitled... answers on a postcard please. There's a new song about tribalism and fear called Othering, referencing Britpop referencing Marc Bolan, and we are just struggling with how active the bass part should be. Our Jet Pack song is still doing well, and we will have a guest vocalist on this one! No clues though. Well actually there has been a clue. And we are almost there, could be an early single release in 2020... More news later.

Finally, check out our radically reworked version of Positronik's hit Don’t Come Crying. We have chopped up bits of the vocal line, and gone a bit Girl From Ipanema in the second half. Nothing at all like the Stock-Aitken-Waterman-like original:

The album linked below is seven versions of the same song. Original band member Jeff Black who invited us to contribute a reworking says ours made him want to get out his vibraphone. Unless that was autocorrect. Pleased he liked it anyway!
